Wing Kart Racing Rules
Track promoter's safety and flag rules will be in effect and under control of the race promoter. They will be obeyed by all participants. NO Exceptions!
-Local track's technical rules, pertaining to engines, apply to mufflers and fuel only. Mufflers, fuel and oil are subject to local track's technical inspection.
-Chassis and safety equipment are subject to local track's technical pre-inspection.
-Competitors must declare their required minimum weight and display it on the lower left front side of the wing - PLAINLY VISIBLE - NO Exceptions!
ENGINE TO WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS:
All Motors - 400 lb wt.
-All karts must be equipped with nationally accepted and approved three point or greater harness type belts in good functioning order. All drivers must wear arm restraints and gloves. No Exceptions!
-Drivers must wear an approved fire-resistant jacket, no shorts. No Exceptions! A full fire-resistant suit protecting the legs is recommended.
-Steering wheel must be a "quick detaching" type. No Exceptions!
-Fuel tank must be vented to the rear outside of the kart body, outside the drivers compartment. No Exceptions! A check valve is optional.
Any and all of these rules may be amended for fair competition in any race. The majority vote by the kart owners participating in that event will amend that rule concerning that event ONLY. Consideration must be given to the seasonal points.
Sportsmanship in open wheel racing will always be number one in our rules!
